Community Builders breaks ground on 100th house
RADO is one of six community development corporations that together form Jacksonville's Community Builders. These organizations work to help homebuyers find and build affordable housing. Supported by LISC Jacksonville (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) , a nonprofit that helps neighbors build communities with training and financial support, they work to build new affordable homes to revitalize struggling neighborhoods, as well as help middle-class people afford homes through subsidies and favorable mortgages. The Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a nonprofit group, also provides financial support.
