This Sunday, Sept. 19th, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is planning to Cover the Town With Sound during a day of free community concerts. Small groups of JSO musicians (including string, woodwind and brass quintets) will perform at venues throughout the greater Jacksonville area, including two concerts right here in our neighborhood. Kudos to the JSO for a great idea that kicks off the new Symphony season in style while fostering community pride in our city.
Performances are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and each program will run for 45 minutes. Locations and start times are subject to change.
Neighborhood Locations and musicians include:
Harp/Violin Duo: Kayo Ishimaru, harp and Max Huls, violin
