Confessions of Hope:

An Exhibit of New Work by Mackenzie Thorpe

Mackenzie Thorpe, England-based, internationally-known artist of Love, Hope and Joy returns to Jacksonville’s R. Roberts Gallery February 12 & 13, 2010 with a new show and brand new original work.

“Confessions of Hope” reflects the artist’s continual evolution and refined skills, as he pursues his familiar themes of childhood innocence and the longing for approval and acceptance; appreciation for family and respect for the universal “working man” who can be relied upon to provide for his family.

This will be the first show in the U.S. of Mackenzie's new, self-published, collection of original paintings and graphic works. The collection includes eight new releases, several classic Bronze and porcelain works, serigraphs and lithographs and a selection of stunning original pastels. Opening receptions will be held Friday, Feb 12th and Saturday, Feb 13th from 6-9pm.

In addition, Thorpe will hold two sessions for children at the Gallery on Saturday, Feb 13th. The first will be 10:00am – 11:00am; the second will be held 11:30am – 12:30pm. These sessions are open to the public, but space is limited and reservations are required. Please call the Gallery at (904) 388-1188 to reserve a spot for your child.
