Volunteers are being sought for the Ocean Conservancy's annual International Coastal Cleanup will be held Saturday morning along Jacksonville's beaches and St. Johns River shorelines.
Meet behind the YMCA at 8am for cleanup in Riverside. Ortega cleanup also starts at 8am with sign-in at the Wayne B. Stevens Boat Ramp, 4555 Ortega Farms Blvd.
Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission and Clean It Up, Green It Up are coordinating the effort to help beautify the city's shorelines, which saw 498,818 volunteers collect more than 7.4 million pounds of trash in 108 countries and 45 U.S. states in 2009.
