Mark your calendar for this year’s Luminaria celebration on December 19. This will be the 26th year that Riverside Avondale has celebrated this beloved holiday tradition, which brings together thousands of neighbors to mix and mingle and stroll the beautifully lit streets of the historic district. Noted Atlanta artist, R.Land, known his quirky, color-saturated images, has designed a poster that perfectly captures the event's spirit and joy. (BTW, check out Ronnie's website and you'll discover he's a dead ringer for David Cross from "Arrested Development".)
Luminaria kits can be purchased at the RAP house at 2623 Herschel Street, and also at the RAP booth at RAM. The kits contain 6 bags, 6 candles, and a bag of sand; they cost $6.
