The amazing French film The Illusionist is up for Best Animated Feature. Directed by Sylvain Chomet (who also did The Triplets of Belleville) from a script by Jacques Tati (creator of Amelie).
The Spanish-language film Biutiful is the favorite to win Best Foreign Film, and also got a nomination for Best Actor for Javier Bardem (best known as the villian in No Country For Old Men).
