National Trust wins $250,000 grant

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is doing some impressive stuff with social media, using the tools of the future to help sustain links to the past. Leveraging its huge email database, the Trust was able to spur its members to vote en masse in American Express's TakePart Members Project, and we've learned just this morning that the Trust has won $250,000.

Wow. Imagine if we could leverage that kind of influence locally. It certainly would ensure that ALL of our local officials (not just the ones representing our district and the urban core) understood the place that preservation plays in creating vibrant, sustainable communities. Something to work toward . . . Your Vote Mattered - Thank You!
