This Saturday, January 8th, marks the return of FRAM, the Farmers Market brought to you by the creators and staff of the Riverside Arts Market (RAM). Located on Jacksonville’s Northbank, under the Fuller Warren Bridge at Riverside Avenue, FRAM will showcase homemade food products and fresh local produce grown during what is our region’s best growing season.
Think of FRAM as RAM Unplugged--no art, no live music, no street performers, just great food and fresh produce offered in a beautiful and weather-proof riverfront setting with free parking on-site. FRAM will be open from 10 am till 1 pm every Saturday until February 26th. The Riverside Arts Market you know and love will reopen Saturday, March 5th.
What you can expect this weekend:
From FRAM's Farmers: Reeds Groves will have honeybells, navels, tangerines, ruby red grapefruit, and other farmed vegetables. Down to Earth Farms will be bringing sweet potatoes, daikon radishes, baby bok choi, bunches of chinese broccoi, yukina spinach, cubanelle peppers and seedless cucumbers. Cross Creek Honey will have a selection of fragrant honeys. And Meadow Green Farms will be bringing their organic, eco-friendly products for people, pets and the environment.
From FRAM's Food Artists: Hey Mon Caribbean Cooking Magic will bring a selection of their zesty marinades, sauces and spices. Patrons can also expect a tempting array of artisan cupcakes, sweets and savories from their favorite RAM vendors.
