Water conservation and rain barrels to be the focus of Willowbranch Library workshop, Jan. 20
The St. Johns River Water Management District and the Duval County Extension Service are hosting a Water Conservation workshop at Willowbranch Library (2875 Park St.) on Jan. 20, from 7-8:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to create their own rain barrels and ways to conserve water inside and outside of their homes or businesses, saving water and money.
As part of its ongoing work to enhance water conservation, the District promotes and helps implement a wide range of outreach programs to increase public understanding of Florida's water resources and the interdependence between people and the region's water resources. The District strives to develop a sense of stewardship for water resources and to promote responsible actions for the health, protection and use of Florida's water resources.
For information or registration, contact Becky Davidson with the Duval County Extension Service at (904) 387-8850 or District Education Contractor Cheryl Bell-Abbott at cabbott@sjrwmd.com.
